Mr. Jeffrey Leech
B.F.A. Fine Arts, York University, B. Ed., Nippissing University, Honours Specialist Visual Art, University of Toronto.
Mr. Leech began exhibiting his own paintings and drawings in commercial galleries begining in the summer of 2002.
He has participated in several group shows and juried exhibitions. His most recent work has been commissioned portraits for individual clients.
Mr. Leech began his teaching career in the fall of 2000 at Dunbarton High School in Pickering. There he joined a thriving Visual Arts Department and soon helped to establish a Media Arts curriculum for grades 10 - 12. He was the teacher/advisor to the Student Art Council, created an after school program where students created mural paintings for sites around the school, worked with students to create set pieces and prop design for important Drama productions and helped to organize and curate student art exhibitions in the school.
Leech was thrilled to be hired on to help open Maxwell Heights S.S. in 2009. Mr. Leech was determined to establish Maxwell as a centre for Arts and Culture in North Oshawa. The Maxwell Mural Project is in full swing and our students' achievments are being celebrated in semester end art exhibitions twice a year. Our graduating students have developed strong portfolios which are essential for contniued study in the Visual Arts, we are so proud of them.

Ms. Harloff joined the Visual Arts Department at Maxwell Heights in 2014, after spending 10+ years as a Visual Arts & Special Education Teacher in the Oshawa area. Ms. Harloff has led the Maxwell Heights 'Empty Bowls' fundraiser successfully since 2016 and Developed the grade 11 Alternative Art Course.
Ms. Harloff's Fine Arts training has a solid foundation in Sculpture, Printmaking and Ceramics.

Mrs. Robynn Suddons
B.A. Communication Design, Visual Art and English from Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD-U); B. Ed University of Ontario
Mrs. Suddons joined the Maxwell Heights Visual Arts Department in 2010.
Mrs. Suddons’ educational background in Communication Design is predominantly geared towards the graphic arts. Beginning in Fine Arts, she chose to major in Design with an interest in Graphic Design and Photography.
